Welcome to Friends of Pakati whether it your first visit or not!
We are actively fundraising to support the two Pakati schools in Zimbabwe – Primary and Secondary – and right now we need help to raise US$2000 (£1600 approx) to be able to complete the full electrification of both schools.
In the near future there are other projects we want to focus on, including access to wifi/internet to support the learning environment for all Pakati students.
We are also developing longer term plans, including the possibility of a kind of scholarship and/or hardship fund for students from poorer backgrounds, to be arranged in conjunction with local community figures and the two Schools’ administrations.
The deivery of IT equipment to both Pakati schools has the potential to be transformative to the students who pass through the schools, and for the community as a whole.
