Fundraising…latest news on events, and what the money will be used for – can you help?

Mr Walker has been walking to work occasionally….for this project!

Steps taken on Tuesday this week

Here is what the money raised is for…..our priorities for 2020 https://friendsofpakati.com/2020-vision-friends-of-pakati-the-project-continues/ which includes delivering more computers to both schools

First computer lesson for some students at Pakati Primary school, September 2019

There are a number of fundraising activities planned, some are where the Author works – including my weight loss challenge, and what should be a difficult day for me – cake & tea/coffee day! Some colleagues have offered to bake cakes/buns for sale to donate the proceeds to friendsofpakati.

Week 7 – weight down again! Another 3lbs takes it to 16st 6lbs/104.5kg

Other events include the 10km run being held in Bristol, which another former Pakati teacher Debbie Chadbon has entered and is now training for.

There are still a number of football shirts stil being sold for us, so we expect another cssh donation in the coming weeks.

Then there is the ‘Get TIED UP for Pakati’ 👔away-day idea for fans of Scunthorpe United when we play at Carlisle United on Easter Monday. All fans who wear a shirt & tie will pay £1 & this is being matched by another fan who came up with the idea, David Scott. I am delighted with the support from Neal Campbell and the Scunthorpe United Official Supporters Club (SUOSC), as well as other fan groups such as Iron Bru and Iron Trust, and SUOSC are also matching contributuons from supporters coaches on the day. Full details are below:

Please donate money if you can: http://gofundme.com/friends-of-pakati or if you have items to donate for sale or sending (such as sports equipment of all types) then please email friendsofpakati@gmail.com
