It’s great to hear from my friend Mr Mugove Chifaka as he settles into his new role of (substantive) Deputy Head at Macheke High school.
He began his new job on 3rd November 2023, with Mr Chizenya taking over as Head at Pakati Secondary a week before.
The local councillor for Ward 14, Mr Njenje, along with school staff, arranged a party to wish Mr Chifaka well at his new school, and to thank him for all the hard work he has done for Pakati – something I recognised often, and did so in a blog when I found out he was leaving…. https://friendsofpakati.com/2023/11/05/a-tribute-to-mr-chifaka-from-friends-of-pakati-as-he-moves-on/
As well as the above party pictures and the one in his new office, he also sent me one which shows how different Macheke High school is to Pakati…

So once again, my thanks go to Mr Chifaka who inspired me to start Friends of Pakati after my first (re)visit to Pakati Secondary school in 2018. All of us here at Friends of Pakati wish him success at Macheke High school, and no doubt we will hear from him again before too long!
