Health Event at Pakati Secondary School

Today I have been in touch with some of the teachers at Pakati Secondary School, along with some members of the supporting local community – from the parents, former students & senior teachers.

Tomorrow, Friday 28th June, all people from the local community are invited to attend an important health-related event. Hosted by Pakati Secondady School it is being put on by the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health.

It is focusing on key topics for people of all ages – such as sexual health for both men and women, and cervical cancer screening for women, among several other issues.

The event is to start at 10am, and will last until all who wish to attend have been seen. To encourage participation from the community at least one cow is to be slaughtered to provide food, plus there will be a band playing local music too.
