Preparations….

I will be launching my project on 16th January 2019, 30 years to the day on which I started work as a newly qualified teacher, at Pakati Secondary School, Murehwa South district, Mashonaland East, Zimbabwe.

My fundraising will involve a number of events – I am open to suggestions from people here – most notably a sponsored walk. I have begun training for it around Great Horton in Bradford where I live…it is quite hilly & sometimes quite steep…

…there are some wonderful views around the area day or night…

…I just need to keep it going! So far I have walked around an hour on the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 8th, 10th & 12th of this month, planning to gradually increase the length of the walks over time.

The walk will be Thursday 25th April to Saturday 27th April, from outside Bradford City FC to outside Scunthorpe United FC, arriving by 12noon on matchday for the game between the two clubs. Route & participants tbc.
